Champ select start, but stuck on main screen instead

Its happened a few times now, but just had match that went to champ select, but instead of going to the lobby, was sent to main page. When I tried to rejoin queue, like has worked before, it just told me 'already in a match, can't do that'. Which was the reason I was doing it in the first place. I had no way to join the match, and was forced to dodge because I couldn't get to the lobby.

Why is it not set for if you try to join a queue while in a match, that it takes you to that match automatically? There shouldn't even BE an error message 'you are already in a match' if you are trying to join a queue.

Also, totally want my LP back from having to dodge a match I was utterly unable to see due to reasons out of my control.
