Can't log in (Mac)

When I try to log in I get the 'Did not receive a response from the server; retrying (Attempt 1,2,3)' and then 'The login server did not respond'. I have repaired my client and restarted the Mac. I have noticed others complaining about this and the reply has been instructions on changing the DNS settings for Windows, do I need to do the same type of thing on my Mac?

That's usually how you fix that error, yeah.

Also going into the command prompt and flushing your DNS usually works as well, and is easier to do.
