Patch 7.8 20 fps only
I was running lol on this pc with pretty stable 60 fps but ever since the new update came out i have only 20 fps Is it just me or did the fps rly drop becouse of the update

right click on the league shortcut on your pc and click troubleshoot compatability and it will ask you to run reccommended settings then say okay. it'll ask you to run the program.
go to a custom game by yourself and test and see if fps goes back up to 60 and if it doesnt then repeat the process but this time try for windows 8,7,xp, vista
and continue this process until you find your high fps settings lmk how it goes. 
I doubt it's the client causing it. Would you be willing to list your hardware? Cpu/ram/gpu?
At one point I got horrid FPS drops, and I run a R9 390, which should have zero issues. Turned out to be a driver update and windows update issue. Reverted both updates and reinstalled both the driver/windows update a bingo it was back to a solid 140 FPS.
if he was getting 60 fps then my solution might be more relatable than having huuge fps drops mine is an easy try yours is full overdrive but hope these comments help
signed in to say that this is happening to me. Since the whole "we're retiring the client" thing ive been getting reduced fps on my low spec machine. Game start normally: 75 fps. Laning: 35-45. Teamfights: 25. Yesterday, my client was reporting 08 FPS with no background tasks open. And Im laning at 20 and teamfighting at 15 right now. With the same usual things hurting the FPS: baron buffed hordes of minions, super minions, and elder drag buff. I came to see if anyone else was having this problem in the past week or so. I am. Its sketchy to me that tooltip are disabled in the client. I think something is wrong right now. Hopefully riot can canfirm or just hurry up with 7.9 lol
