A lot of Skins missing on account

I have been playing a lot of aram lately and I have noticed quite a lot of my skins which I know i had are missing????

If they were bought with RP that was illegally obtained, they will be removed.

However, that's not to say it can't happen on accident due to a bug or mistake on Riot's part. If you feel you lost a skin, submit a Support Ticket; there's an option under Account Management for Missing Stats.

They werent obtained by illegal means, and thank you i shall submit a support ticket.

There are usually two reasons content is removed -

If a player participates in Refer-A-Friend fraud to acquire IP or RP, then any champions/skins gifted with this IP or RP are removed.
If a player purchases RP and gifts content with it, and subsequently issues a chargeback for the money spent on that RP, we will remove that content.

If you submit a support ticket, we'll be able to see why the content was removed. :]

So a while back I had a friend who had (unfortunately) participated in Refer-a-Friend fraud, but he had also spent a ton of money on RP to get/gift skins. When the Rioters subsequently took back content, they also ended up taking back some content he had spent purchased RP on.

My assumption is that this happened because there's an automatic system in place that removes content starting with the most recently obtained content until a price equal to the fraudulently obtained IP/RP is "paid back". i.e. it doesn't distinguish between content bought with purchased RP and fraudulent RP. Am I correct?

Note that I'm not asking to add fuel to any fire/go on any witch hunt, I'm just honestly curious.
