League Client freezes and shuts down during champ select, or right when I accept a match

As said in the title, the game has several times in the past week frozen, then went into champ select without me and I cannot login straight into the select, I just go to where you normally go to when you log in. Its infuriating because I will get periodic 5 minute bans for something I'm not in control over. If there is anything I can do it would be appreciated!!
