Preseason additions are a hard hit on FPS

I know this isn't exactly a bug and please point me to the right place to post this, but I'm one of the people who own a potato laptop. League has been my favorite game throughout the years because it's so light and can run on any toaster.

However the recent big changes are gonna make it different apparently. Last game my FPS was terrible, and now even baron buff (elder has been dropping my FPS for a while now) is hard hitting my FPS. And it was just slow throughout the entire game, especially after the map got changed by the new dragon things.

Does anyone have a solution or a way to get around this, or am I just screwed now? I'm hoping it's just preseason being unoptimized, but I do fear not being able to play League on my laptop anymore.
