Game Crash

My friend and I were playing a game of league, and in the middle it disconnected. We checked our internet, which was still working, and tried reconnecting. When that didn't work we tried closing the game and opening and other things. It has now been over an hour and we still can't reconnect, we can't spectate or start a new game. Advice?

so how come we get penalized when your game crashes and have to wait for que dodging is there anyway to set it up so you know the difference between a game crash and a person just leaving for whatever reason?
