Won't let me change summoner spells

So, I just started a ranked game, and I was jungler. I changed the summoner spell in the champion select to smite, and it showed on my screen I had smite. I changed the summoner spell at the beginning of champion select, however on the side bar, it kept showing I had exhaust instead of smite, no matter how many times I clicked smite on my summoner icons. Then when we got into the loading screen, I figured the bug would fix itself and go to smite like I had been clicking, however, it didn't change, and I had to play a ranked game as Sejuani with exhaust. Needless to say, this single bug wound up losing the game for us as I was unable to clear or gank efficiently and cost me 20 LP. Very unfortunate, but I would hate to have this happen to anyone else.
