[GAMEPLAY] Flashing out of a ability sometimes causes the damage to still be applied

Playing as Vayne against Lux in the One for All gamemode. I had flashed and tumbled out of 1 of the Lux's Final Spark I was visibly clear and out of the Final Spark animation. But I proceeded to take full damage from the Final Spark. I'm on patch 5.20.15_19_08_12_08.

I've seen this happen again recently on Anklespankin's stream playing Kindred against a Cho'Gath. He had clearly flashed out off Cho'Gath's Feral Scream but still took full damage. He was playing in Classic 5v5 Normal (Blind Pick).

Haven't tested this, but can assure it has happened (and it brings the salt to the surface).

You are just out of practice. Final Spark hit box is actually bigger than the animation, if you were on the center of it a tumble will barely clip you.

As for cho scream... is common knowledge that the skill is bugged and the silence might or might not go at the the end of the ability, Mostly because of how old the code is.

Dashes are very glitchy in the sense that they don't actually move your target frame until you complete the dash, hence why you may be hit in the fraction of a second that you're tumbling from skillshots that you normally would have dodged.

ex. Lee Sin's Q used to be able to completely negate skillshots in season 4 while he was dashing, because the game didn't update where he was until he finished.

Pretty common bug, unlikely to be fixed very soon for short dashes like Vayne or Kindred.
