Black screen crash on starting to load map

I've been away for about 4 months and came back and patched up my existing install. Upon starting an ARAM, the LoL client goes non-responsive and gives me a black screen when the game starts loading. I completely deleted the install and redownloaded a fresh copy of the game, but have the same issue. I am now placed in a Leaver Queue for these two games even though I could never connect.

Thanks Riot, maybe fix your shit instead of penalizing players for technical glitches that are your fault...
