Viktor's modified Q autoattack wont kill revealed mushrooms [GAMEPLAY]

In an ARAM on 11/2/2015 I was Viktor on purple team. Teemo on Blue team placed mushrooms on map (both in brush and out of brush).

I purchased a hextech sweeper to see mushrooms. I had upgraded my hextech core to modify my Q ability. When I used Q on an enemy minion, and then began to auto attack a nearby passively revealed mushroom, the sound effects for my enhanced auto attack went off but my auto attacks would do no damage.

I continued auto attacking until the spell effect wore off. Once the effect wore off my auto attacks were able to damage and kill mushrooms normally. I was able to auto attack 3-4 times on a mushroom with my spell in effect doing no damage at all at any of the times I attempted it this game.
