Screen resolution is incorrect upon ingame launch

I've tried googling this problem and many forums came up about changing your default resolution, or going into your advanced display settings for your desktop display. These was from 2 years ago, so I'm guessing there is now a fix I don't know of? Every time I go into a game this is the size of my screen, but if i press esc i have my settings to 1920x1080 with borderless windowed option. As you can see it is not the resolution I want it to be. I've put up with it for awhile but it gets really annoying after the 1st couple of games and it doesn't allow me to do any invades with my team because by the time I go into settings and change the resolution to an incorrect format and then back to the correct format, my team is already at the enemy jungle and the fight has already started (and ended like any other invade). Luckily if I'm fast to respond I can give my jungler a full leash instead of coming around after the camp has already spawned I've already tried changing my resolution and then back, I've tried going to the ingame launchers settings (game.cfg) and used the notepad to change the width and height but they were already at the correct measurements, and also already tried redownloading the game. If there is a fix please let me know thanks.
