File detected as Virus. Fix this its annoying to think that you want to get full control of our computer! (thats what dropper gen is) so!

Elf Butler1 votesI just got the exact same problem. I think it's a bug with Avast rather than Riot trying to install random stupid viruses through a dropgen . Personally going to ignore it.
Mr Honey Badger1 votesi have exactly the same problem as you. i have tried to uninstall and reinstall League of Legends but the problem pesists. I have also run a full system scan with diferent antivirus programs but it still wont let me reinstall lol. please help

Drakiusx1 votesNow that I think about it, as a Computer Science student, I've learned that it's common for blacklist algorithms work on a percentage system (AKA, the algorithm sacrifices accuracy for speed/cost, so the virus identification system can't say there's a 100% chance something is a bug, but they can say something is "probably" a bug). I'm not sure how AVAST is implemented, but there's probably a decent probability that it's just a false positive.
I mean, it's not the first time we've gotten an AVAST warning for League. Still going to wait until further notice just to be safe, though.
