Login queue is really long, keeps resetting?

I've been in the queue to log in and it went from 6 minutes with 20,000 people ahead of me, to me being the only one and it continually counts down to zero and then jumps me back to 14 or 15 more seconds. It's been ten minutes, I'm worried if I restart I'll have to wait even longer. What should I do?

Turning off my firewall allowed me to log in after an hour of dealing with the same problem you have. Do this at your own risk though.
