Game Wont Run (Sometimes)

After "Champ select" the client minimizes and the game is supposed to open up and begin running. However, it attempts to do this but instead I get a semi-black screen; A black rectangle in the top left of my monitor appears, and it spans across up to a certain width and height. The remaining space that is not black shows my operating system behind the black rectangle: I can see my desktop, task bar, and bring up other applications underneath. I cannot do anything to get rid of this black rectangle, I cannot have any other window over-top of this black region. I am not sure but, I believe when my cursor is over the black square it changes to the in-game league cursor.

This is the first of two issues I wish to point out. To add more information about the issue above: It has happened more than once now. Which brings me to the second issue:

I understand (as a fellow software developer and security student) that you cannot ascertain whether the reason a person goes AFK is due to the fact his game crashed or if he pulled the plug. However, that being said, I think there must be an unintended effect(And this is also further information towards the bug I mentioned above): So I understand that I had been incurring multiple stacks of "AFK rating" because: My game has failed to run multiple times (in the manner above), even though I had tried to restart the application (the client) multiple times to get it to work. Finally I want to say, the unintended effect is that the game which caused me to receive the AFK penalty of 5 games of low-priority queue (of waiting for 5 minutes) was a game where I had initially encountered the bug above but then I managed to over come this bug by: I restarted my computer, I had to close the many browser tabs and applications and work I had been accumulating over the past X days then restart my operating system, and I did all this so I could get back into the game. So it seems the first bug is related to how long the computer has been running, in either terms of time or usage amounts. Thus restarting the computer (soft-boot) fixed this. The second issue, the unintended effect I will summarise as: Even though I came back to the game, and I contributed towards the successful result of my team, I was still so heavily penalized. Again, I can understand that you cannot differentiate my situation from cheaters, or selfish players, but it seems like you may have unintentionally penalized me for coming back to a game. It may be intentional to penalize a person even though they returned to the game, however: If those rules persist to penalize players who join late then there will be an incentive for players to simply abandon a game that they cannot join in-time. Coupled with the first aforementioned bug, this could mean many games go un-played and thus will decrease the fun and experience of legitimate players such as myself.

Thank you for your support and ongoing experience that you have provided me over the years, Your work is greatly appreciated, but I regret to inform you I am forced to take a hiatus,

Cory.

Corry I have the same issue - It started JUST after a game of poro king, and I'm wondering if Poro King has had ... interesting side effects on the game
