Mastery bug

TL DR version

My mastery didn't reset. I was informed that riot was resetting mastery this season, and putting skins/choms as rewards when making certain break points on mastery.

has riot failed in instating this? It seems as if having all champs is pretty pointless to play all except one or two or three when i get no reward for playing sub par champions
