Game wont apply update

I played a few games last night with my friends and gf and today as i went to go and try to log on, it said the client will restart to apply a necessary patch.

I go through the usual process and once the client restarted, after a few seconds it stated that it had to restart again to DL and apply the same size patch. A 1454.1 MB patch. It downloads it, then exits the launcher and then installs it. Queue the restart of the whole process again.

Im at my wits end with this and I am unsure what is going on to cause this update loop. I have restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled League of Legends and now Im at a loss for any ideas.

edit: Turns out theres 2 patches it cycles between. A 1454.1 MB patch and a 1246.0 MB patch.

I am done trying for now, as it has tried to apply these patches for almost 2 hours.
