Sound Quality Non-existent

Playing on a Late 13" MacBook Pro and if I ever have bluetooth headphones in and I start a game, the sound quality gets extremely distorted and I can only fix it by disconnecting headphones and reconnecting to the game without being able to use my headphones. Please advise. Other than buying a new computer.
