Why doesn't my Tristana 'R' shoot this filthy Jax away from me? Is it a bug?

I mean, he didn't have 'e' up. Also I used my ultimate after his 'q' jump. Only reason i could think of Jax was standing directly on top of me and the game didn't find any direction to shoot Jax? Is it a bug?

ig theres a jax bug with his Q where whatever he jumps on doesnt push him away Use Jax Q on a bomb plant and attack it and it just makes him jump in tthe same spot
