Darius ult still deals damage while he's stunned midst animation

Check out this League of Legends video on PlaysTV.

So I was playing against the new Darius and this happened. As you can see he gets stuck in my (Viktor) W and gets stunned while ulting but I still get blown up even though Darius doesn't finish his animation. Seeing as Darius' ult isn't an AoE channel type of ult unlike say Kennen, Fiddle and Swain, which don't get stopped by stuns, I don't see why Darius can still get his ultimate damage off while he's stunned. Where's the room for counterplay?

Because Darius' ult isn't a channel, hard CCing him doesn't interrupt his ult. You'll notice the same effects when CCing Ezreal/Lux during the casting of their ults.

I used too. I noticed this as lissandra. You could hit him (pure luck) in the middle of his animation and he wouldnt dunk on you.

I also notice that jinx's ult goes under/through darius sense he is in the air, meaning he never came down from the stun so realistically it shouldn't have killed you but that's how some ults works. Like how guy above staed ez/lux's ults work like this aswell

No, Jinx's ult did not go under/through Darius because he was "in the air." In this game, there is no Z-axis, so even if you are "in the air" you can still be hit by ground based abilities; there is no going over abilities. Jinx's ult actually hit Darius, and then it killed Gragas in the AoE explosion.
