Cannot pick any champion

Client Bug I was in q and I accepted when a match was created and as soon as it loads up i cannot pick any champions at all. Thus would not let me ban and thus i was kicked out of q and lost 3 lp and have a q timer now. This is extremely frustrating because I had no fault in here and this has happened to me several times. Obviously I'm not gonna gain any lp from this because its Riot. I am a mac user and that may be the cause of it but even so why implement such a buggy client when the old client was slightly less bug prone.
