Can't Lock In?

Sometimes when I queue I cannot lock in my champion. This happened yesterday and I waited in champ select for 15 minutes. The champ select disappeared and an error came up. I thought that the lobby bugged out so I just logged off. Now today, I log on and see that game actually continued without me even being able to connect and our team lost. It isn't an internet problem because this never has happened when I'm connected to other internet.
