Client Crashing in Ranked Champion Select.
Client sometimes crashes while in champion select (especially ranked) and will count as a loss if in promos or loss of LP.
RIOT THIS NEEDS FIXING.

I'm with you dude. I submitted this to Riot and all they tried to do was pinpoint it as an exception on my end, which may be invariably true but it's their bullshit, outdated shit client that suffers heavily and in turn causes many players to suffer. Thank god I haven't had this happen this season, but last season it was adamant.
I've had this happen too, it'll crash on me when our team has locked in their champions and the loading screen pops up...but shows no champions and only the border skin (everything but the champion portraits and data of the player). Or it refuses to load...which leaves me to try and reconnect.
Only thing I seen after the third try at reconnect was "the client crashed and you need to restart the client." Keep in mind I have the main window still available and my teamamte (through message) is telling me I'm IN GAME, at the fountain.
So after closing out the client (goodbye LP...) and trying the hextech repair tool I could log in, but not back into the game (only about 3-4 minutes passed during this period), I kept trying to reconnect, but it was no use.
The last time this happened was during patch 6.12 and only a repatch seemed to work. (alternatively you could re-install the game, as some did)
Going to try another game and hopefully the repatch solved the crashing & issues. (anyone watch worlds and watch Riot pause the game because of the Nocturne bug?...cannot imagine playing and hearing 'Darkness...' being spammed over randomly.)
I can only imagine what they hope to find from my logs, but I'm pretty sure it's on their end where the problem resides.
Hope a repatch does the trick. That's what I'm trying.
And if you need to, send support a ticket and logfiles from the hextech repair tool.
THIS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE AND I LOST PROMOS BECAUSE OF IT. EXTREMELY RIDICULOUS RIOT.
same here... my team lost a ranked match beacause i had this problem. they blamed me and i understand them but this wasnt my fault
