Black Screen on Champ select.

Queued up for ranked got into champ select couldn't see or do anything and was dropped down another rank because I "dodged" you can still hear everything but the homepage loads up and you cannot get to champ select no matter what you do. Anyone else having this issue?

(Edit) This is getting ridiculous, I've had it happen once and it's clearly happening to a lot of other players. This is really messing up placements for a lot of players. This is a bug that needs addressed immediately, this has never happened to me or my friends until Season 9 started and now it's happening to all of us.

I got this too. And now I can't start new because I "abandoned a recent game during champ select". I wouldn't had abandoned it if there'd been any champions to pick. What is it that every patch causes the weirdest of problems recently*[sg-lux-2]* ?

Yes i got this a few times too. Reported that bug already. Hope they fix it soon. It is so annoying having to wait for a new queue and didnt even dodge...

yup, had this in 3 of my placement games. and the sad part is im 100% sure they wont fix this issue and give you the three losses on your placement matches back due to their garbage client

I really don't want to let this slip under the radar. I placed into 85 LP Gold I, was getting at least 30 per win but lost around 40 from the stupid bug- IDK why dodges still lose you LP in placements when they said you couldn't lose LP in placements but whatever... Would've placed straight into platinum if it weren't for this glitch that's beyond my control. Still no word about fixing it, still no word about reimbursing players who got screwed by it. Very annoying. It won't be hard to climb out of gold but it's just annoying, I'd really like to get diamond this year and this week is turning into a huge waste of time as I screw around in Gold elo where everyone is awful.

This happened to me twice and cost me two promo games. If it happens again my placements will be ruined.

Still an issue. Just got it 2 x times in a row. 1st in champ select - which gave me a dodge status. Next, when game started - which game a leaver status. 2nd time around - couldn't even exit or bring-up the task manager with ctr+alt+dell (could only see the preview windows in alt+tab - but couldn't click on it). Had to Log-out. 😑

I've never experience this until the new patch (Yummi). Before i play for few hours its fine but after the new patch this black screen bug keep coming and causing me to force shut down my laptop. Then when I reboot and start League client the game was already over and I was shown that I left the game!? Another time happen when I played a Ranked Game... it was still early game and right after I got killed (first blood) the league client turns black screen and froze instantly. Also, there was a time where the screen turns grey and has red dotted lines spread across the screen ( FYI, I never experience this before the new patch). And finally today, I decided to play league (after getting a break from the black screen issue) I still experience the same black screen problem. So, please riot I want to play the game... I can't even get into a match now, the game crashes my computer every time after champ select attempts to go into loading screen.

I also ran into this today. Been having other issues too, such as not being able to see champions in the stats tab, and not being able to see anything in the loot tab.

Brand new player here. Just became high enough level to play ranked and instantly became 1-3 W-L because of this glitch. Most likely going to quit over this stupid issue due to how unreasonable this bs is.

Just happened to me, except I couldn’t hear anything.

Happened after I got DCed, tried to reconnect, I couldn’t. Which logged me out and then I had issues logging back in, kept saying error. I switched WiFi in case it was a WiFi issues but that didn’t help.

Now I’m stuck with a “leaver”game, at -3 LP now...ugh.

This has happened to me 5 times just today. Legit every other game I que up for I have to dodge or get my duo to dodge. I've lost about 30 lp in all ques just from this bug.

I've been trying to play ranked with my premade to do the placements but it's happening the same to us, sometimes it happens with him and when he changes accounts it happens to me, kinda sucks.. does riot already know about this ?

Exact same thing happened to me twice in one day, both in ranked queues. Happened in my placements and made me lose a game. Hilarious that Riot makes millions of dollars but they can't be bothered to fix their buggy game.[sg-lulu]
