Unable to unlock champ

So I am a level 10 and I went to unlock Tahm Kench he's fun as hell to play. So when I press the unlock button it gives me the loading icon and then gives me the "Sorry couldn't process your request" and "contact riot support". So I contacted riot and they basically said we don't really know and I just don't know what to do.
