IS THIS A BUG?!?!?!

It happened a while ago but i keep forgetting to make a post about it, my friend gifted me zed and shock blade zed cause I really wanted to see what zed was like. After while being me I had to get project zed so i bought it . A few weeks later my friend told me he was banned after are conversation i deiced to play zed but as soon as i got into champ select I realized zed was gone along with the shock blade skin. But the thing is every time Zed is free to play I can use the project skin that I bought but I have no idea what happened. I even asked if he refunded the skin and the camp he said how could I, I got banned.
