Patch updater pause button

I have downloaded around 850mb out of 1409mb patch, then my internet died so the LOL client closed. when i restart the LOL the patch size is still 1364mb, seriously only 45mb saved out of 850mb. i use metered internet and it really sucks. I have seen many say "no, it totally saves it". I think its patch dependent. RIOT could you please fix it and add an pause button. its really annoying.i can use only 1gb per day, then wont have internet till next day. how hard could it be for a big company like you to add a pause button. Please!
