Hextech Crafting not giving crate

I had just finished a normal game, and someone on my team had reached champion mastery on Thresh, and it said i have to own that champion to get the crate. However, i do own thresh so i am confused on if im misunderstanding something or if it was indeed a bug. I had already received a crate today, but it didnt say that was the problem, just that i didnt own thresh. Any clarifaction would be great. Thanks (I do have a couple screenshots if needed)
