Thresh with Relic Shield

Every time i buy Relic Shield on Thresh and try to kill a minion it fails to execute them the way it does for other champions. A few of my friends have encountered the same problem and we would like to see it fixed.

item 3401 Execute function is melee only. Thresh Is a ranged champion. Sure, it looks like he is a melee champion, because he is clearly connected to his kusarigama, but is still considered a ranged champion, since a kusarigama gives you range.

I'd like to see people not posting "bugs" about Ranged Champions, not getting a Melee Execute... but I don't think either of us will get what we want.

TL;DR Thresh is ranged, not melee, working as designed.

Combined with everyone that commented before me:

Only take Relic on Thresh if you have an adc that doesn't mind letting you take last hits when you have a charge.

I have enough trouble executing a minion before my adc last hits it when I'm on melee supports. I've given up building Relic on Thresh.
