Recurring "Gift Opened" notification

I gifted a friend almost 2 months ago and I constantly get the "summoner" has opened/received said gift. I've unadded to see if that does anything, nope. It'd be hard to believe this would be a client side issue instead of a server side so reinstalling/repairing sounds incredibly ridiculous. Any one else having this problem?

You have to clear your notifications to stop getting it, the Notification box is right next to your custom Status Message in the top right.
