Gameplay Bug - Global ults

When you use a global ult and accidentally move your cursor over your champion portrait it will fire the ult in a random direction rather than at where your cursor is located. This bug is so frustrating and it happens to me all the time. This has happened to me multiple times on ashe and Ezreal and I'm sure its reproducible on more champions with global ults. I believe it happens 100 percent of the time, and I can't imagine that this is intended. Anyway I included a video of the bug happening in game. Super game breaking and frustrating. Happens a ton when you're playing on red side.
