Suggestion about the Matchmaking System

Hi to any staff member that comes across this post. I chose the report a bug board because I felt like this will let the most number of staff members see it. Someone from ticket support told me to voice my suggestion here, so here I am.

I'd like to take this time to talk about the MMR system which imo is incredibly outdated and quite frankly, a horrible gauge of skill level, especially in ranks like Bronze and Silver. This matchmaking system could seriously not be any more flawed than it already is. So, here's a suggestion that I highly hope that you actually take into account in order to fix this broken system.

Instead of letting new level 30 people with 5 provisional wins that are miraculously placed in silver play with Silver players with over 200 wins, I say we should let them play with players under 50 wins. I personally feel that it's only fair that they play with other players of similar wins, because if I'm being brutally honest, winning 5 games in provisionals does not qualify these individuals as TRUE silver players as there are so many more things to the game that you cant just learn in 10 ranked games. Plus, putting them in games with players of similar wincounts allow them to learn better instead of getting completely outclassed by people who. let's say, play 500 ranked games.

Players with above 200-300 wins in silver (like me) are finding it almost impossible to climb because of random new players ruining the game for everyone due to the severe lack of game knowledge. Like seriously, it's almost every damn game that I have to either teach someone how to use certain items, otherwise they just sell it and build something else that's utter sh*t for their champ. It's incredibly exhausting and I don't think this is the type of bs I should have to deal with when I'm already in silver. After all, isn't the whole point of the silver league meant for players that already have their fundamentals figured out?

With that being said, here's the solution I came up with, the client should include a customizable setting for players to make choices with what players they should be teamed with, for instance people x divisions apart ONLY, and within x (e.g. +50/-50) amount of wins from their own number of wins, x being the amount of wins apart that they choose. The smaller the range, the longer the queue times. The mmr of players should also be displayed on their profiles. If their mmr is bad, limit the amount of divisions apart they get to play with, for example, they're not allowed to play with teammates of higher rank but perhaps 3 divisions below. This way, the game will actually have a decent matchmaking system, instead of this outdated "MMR" system which works mostly with the higher elo guys, while the 50% bronze and silver players are struggling extremely hard to break out of their ranks. And as for people who desire faster queue times, they should be allowed to increase the range of win difference to accept people with lower wincounts. This is a similar system to the csgo matchmaking ping range, whereby they allow players to set a certain ping cap that other players have to follow before they join the team. I truly and honestly believe that, with the right amount of field-testing and done correctly, this could actually be the future of matchmaking.
