Been getting very frustrated lately because its the 4th time I have tried to update my lol now and the client keeps getting stuck at 33% and just sits there scanning files. I have done all the things on the list that is usually posted, but nothing seems to be work. Help please.
well i just got dced from a game due to this alt tab bs and now its scanning while im trying to reconnect so im screwed out of my ranked game. thanks alot riot, made my choice of going back to HoN a LOT easier!

How ware we suppose to work towards our End of Season Rewards if we can't even play a freaking game? I've scanned over 1500 files.. And still stuck at 33%.
Dc'd once and couldn't get back in game. No more playing for a while.

Happens to me a lot on the PBE the only way that has worked for me has been re-installing.
Completely un-install and reinstall. Will fix until next patch. Recurring problem with riot patching.
Sometimes, it just takes a while for the download process to complete. Also, though, I don't think doing this is a good thing, but I find it helpful as well if the launcher gets stuck on a %, then double-clicking on the LoL icon on your desktop will usually get things working again.
I had to DC in my game because of outragous lag then I couldnt get back because I had to scan files and It was Stuck at 33%. Please upvote this, after two days of trying I still cant find a solution.
Also what we have in common is that we both have MAC clients.
I scanned 15K + files TWICE and at the end got a message about an unspecified error that couldn't finish the patch. So i re-installed and went through the same process, only to get the same error again. I understand that people might get bugs, but I am really sad that I am going to miss my Uni team tryouts tomorrow. Hope this gets fixed soon for all :)
wow guys the solution is that you have to wait atleast 1hour max! give it time. be patient . worked for me. just always keep the screen on or like stay on the computer until it is ready! mine was ready at like 4000+ files scanned until i could play JUST WAIT AND YOU WILL GET IT!!!!!
at 1st mine went to 114k then I quit n restart. then 50k it worked. Then it started scanning again 60k I gave up n restart, 50k restart again . repaired client then a lil over 50k it finished. Process took days.
Don't Feel left out guys left my patcher up for 3 days i just got this laptop brand new was stuck on 33% then jumped to 85% then got stuck again and then continued patching till i had 205 mb left then 0 kbps and has been this way for 12 hours now :( really bummed missing great game-play just got my laptop and cant even play one of my favorite games its sad i can install diablo 3 and world of warcraft faster then i can patch league of legends please someone find something to help.
anyone still having this problem i read a solution online somewhere and it worked for me go to control panel go to network ant internet , internet options , from the screen that pops up go to the connections tab , at the bottom of the connections tab there is a button that says LAN settings click that then make sure the automatically detect settings is not checked that is all thank you for you're time

So, this didn't happen to me when I got the first 4.19 update; but when I had a bunch of crash issues today I deleted the game and redownloaded... and now I can't get past 33% either.
I've had this fukin problem since I started playing this game...ever patch this thing starts all over again, and I need to fix it a different way EVER FUCKIN TIME.
It still doesnt work for me. im at 50k files scanned and still doesnt work time to go back to HoN, DoTa, and Smite.
its not stuck its scanning files there is a shit ton of them because of SR update, quit being impatient and wait
So here's how I fixed the problem. First make sure LoL is completely uninstalled and the Riot Games folder is deleted along with all of its contents. Then download and install the game on a separate computer. (Make sure it works) Copy the whole Riot Games folder from the working computer on to a thumb drive. (Around 5gigs free space needed) Copy the Riot Games folder from your thumb drive on to whatever drive has enough storage. (Mines was the traditional C:// but not in the Programs x86 file)
Run the game from within the Riot Games folder under admin.
So this happened to me twice on two different laptops. Luckily I owned a desktop which ran the game without a hitch.
I hope this helps someone cause it sure caused me a major headache when I couldn't play on my day off. Have fun!
This just happened to me as well. Hopefully there will be loss prevented but I highly doubt it.
disconnected while playing in a series so i doubt i'll get ranked rewards. Edit: The amount of time it takes for me to get back is approximately 25 min.

**I updated my patch last night and now when i logged on and started a 5v5 match, the client got crashed and the patch has started updating and gets stuck on 33%. Lol i really dont know whats gonna be the outcome of this, but tbh i dont want to get banned. -.- FIX THIS RIOT
Scanned over 2k files yesterday. Dunno if this is a maintenance thing but rito pls.
