zz'rot Does not give sion health

I was just thinking that if a minion kills itself on me with sunfire or thornmail, i still get health increase as sion, but ZZ'rot kills don't give me health increase. I was wondering if this was a bug or not. When the zz'rot kills a minion it does not increase my health.
