Critical Updates Required

So today I launched league and I'm getting this error where it's telling me "There are critical updates available. We need to restart now to apply these changes." Every time I press apply update it prompts me back to the same message, on an endless loop. I downloaded the hextech repair tool and it didn't fix anything. I reinstalled the game and it still prompts the same message. please help
