Cannot load into game, loading screen doesn't even appear [CRASH]

No problems logging in or getting through champ select, but after that it is unable to go to the loading screen. The loading screen doesn't even pop up, it just think for a second then brings me back to the client when i can try and "reconnect", but no matter what I do it is just unable to reconnect and load the loading screen at all.

Was working fine 2 days ago but yesterday it just doesn't work and I don't know why. I don't use any scripts/whatever that change the game, so it's not that.

It's coming up with "max_presence_rate" in two boxes in the top right after I try and reconnect (link shows screenshot), but I have no idea what that means and can't find anything on any help forums.

Have tried: Initalise full repair, Restarts of my computer, Completed uninstalled and re-installed league, Restored default settings in league, Searched for similar problems but they are all dated and none of them seem to help, Checked to make sure game was allowed through firewalls (it is fine-no problems there), Checked for driver updates, Made sure I had enough memory, Double checked internet connection (everything else works fine so not that either),

Tried playing customs with different maps as well, It just literally never loads the loading screen.

Please help!

OK guys so I appear to have fixed my problem.

I noticed there seemed to be a common denominator of us having Bitdefender, so I figured that might be the problem. Sure enough it looks like there's either been a update to Bitdefender or this new patch is bad, regardless Bitdefender appears to be overzealous with it stopping league from popping up.

But tldr; i went to Protection in Bitdefender, Then Advanced Threat Defence; click on Add applications to exceptions, browse to your league folder then i added the gamer starter icon "Leagueclient.exe" and the other tickable icons around it (ended up with 5, not sure which one is actually needed but hey it works now) to the exceptions.

Didn't work straight away but did once I restarted.

Hoepfully that fixed everyone elses problem too.

me too but my client gets stuck in loading screen no crash or anything until its too late

I'm experiencing the same issue for the past 2 days already.

Issue: Game is not loading after champ select. Stuck at "Reconnect". This affects all type of games. I cannot even start the practice tool.

OS: Windows 10 x64

Antivirus: Bitdefender

I've tried the following:

  • Killing processes via task manager
  • Restarting client
  • Restarting computer
  • Complete game re-install
  • Initiating full repair
  • Checking Firewall settings
  • Disabling Firewall

This makes LOL completely UNPLAYABLE.

RIot, please help us out. We want to play the game, and frankly, getting hit w/ leaver two times in a row and losing 40+ LP is a slap in the face.

I'm having this issue too, and I've been playing this game for 9 fucking years and am getting shafted like this. Seriously, fuck you riot.
