[LoR] [GAMEPLAY] Possibly bugged interaction with Overwhelm and Barrier

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, since I couldn't for the life of me find a discussion board for Legends of Runeterra, so if anyone knows of an official one, that would be great.

So this isn't a straight up bug, and is reproducible 100% of the time, but seems more like an incorrect interaction. If an attacker has Overwhelm, and a defender on it has a Barrier up, the attack will be blocked by the barrier, but then the attacker's whole attack value (-1 point of attack that was used to pop the Barrier) will hit the defender's Nexus, as if the defender had died.

I know that Overwhelm is MEANT to keep an attack going if the defender has been removed from the fight (i.e. Killed by a spell, Recalled, Stunned, etc.), but this seems very counter intuitive, and I've already run into a couple situations where it almost felt like I was abusing a bug when players were unknowingly putting up a Barrier'd defender to block my Tryndamere. The keyword DOES state that EXCESS damage will be dealt to the enemy Nexus, but it's kind of weird to consider that the barrier only absorbs 1 point of damage when it normally negates the entire attack.

Think of Barrier as having a 0/1 with ephemeral sitting on top of the card. This is because all it takes to kill the barrier is 1 damage. The barriered card will have you hit the barrier first, and then it will attack.

Is not a bug, but is intuitive for some people. The way it resolves is like this: Lets say I have a 10/5 Darius with overwhelm ** and the enemy is defending with a 5/5 with barrier**, Darius will do 5 damage to the ally, then the barrier will block those 5 dmg and the other 5 will go to the nexus because the **overwhelm **. You have to remember that barrier doesn't block all damage, only the one done to the ally. summoner 21 [cass-cry]

The interaction barrier-overwhelm interaction is explained in an official post on the LoR support page (support page). See the last point in the barrier keyword section. Also, if you have any other things that are unclear regarding other keywords you will find the article useful.
