Can't reconnect or join any game until full PC restart (a bug observed by a Computer Scientist)

This has happened twice now! As a cs person, I'm seeing patterns from the two occurrences of this bug (I'm quite confident they were two of the same bug).

Here's my process of reaching the bug:

  1. Join any game (the first time was normal draft, this time it's ARAM)
  2. Disconnect from wi-fi the moment before the "loading-in" screen (both times were unintentional, so I'm not sure what happened to my wi-fi)
  3. The loading in screen never shows up. The screen is fully black, aside from the mouse which is a loading blue circle icon. (I play in fullscreen.)
  4. After about a minute, the loading screen never shows up and a popup box says: "Unable to connect to the server. Please check your network connection and attempt to reconnect to your game." (I have of course checked my network by that time, ping tests, firewall checking, etc., I can confirm it is fully functional).
  5. Either go to an endless loop of attempting to reconnect and receiving that popup box, or exit the game client and lobby client, reopen the lobby client to be pushed back into the same loop, OR:
  6. Through task manager, end every single possible task and service related to league. At this point League will pop up an error dialog, "A critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated. Would you like to create a crash dump to aid the developers in troubleshooting this issue? This may take up to 5 minutes. NOTE: The process may appear unresponsive during this time."
  7. After dumping, attempting to reconnect again in any way will further lead to a endless loop of the black screen and that error dialog.
  8. All you can do now is wait until your teammates remake or end the game. Afterwards, the game lobby client reopens, while the screen is filled with the "Game is in Progress" screen, though the green status under the username says otherwise. I was able to join a party and start another game, actually.
  9. During that game though, in the moment before the loading screen, the "critical error" dialog box reappears almost immediately, and you are booted towards the "honor teammates" screen for your teammates from the previous first bugged game. Upon honoring a teammate and exiting the match results, I end up at the party members screen, where my teammates are in a game, and my status says I am in the game, but I am not in a game.
  10. Attempting to rejoin the current game from here results in an endless loop of the "critical error" dialog box.
  11. At the end of this game, I am still booted to the honor screen.
  12. I assume from here it repeats until a complete restart of my PC.

I can confirm that it's not a problem specific to my PC, as I had another person in my original party who the exact same happened to (we were on the same wi-fi, but our PC's are completely different models). He restarted his before mine, and was able to rejoin his game without issues.

At any point in this process, the bug can be fixed by completely restarting my laptop. Unfortunately, since my pc is a little slow on a restart.

In conclusion, the bug is this: Disconnect momentarily during the moment before the loading screen. All games are now unjoinable until a PC restart. Attempting to rejoin results in a loop of "Unable to connect to the server. Please check your network connection and attempt to reconnect to your game." Ending all league tasks and services results in a loop of "A critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated. Would you like to create a crash dump to aid the developers in troubleshooting this issue? This may take up to 5 minutes. NOTE: The process may appear unresponsive during this time." on attempted rejoin. All honor screens and match results are still visible.
