The Log-In states "League of Legend accounts are now Riot accounts". I already got the code through my email to verify the updated username but it only gave me acess to my regular NA account and my PBE account won't update with the new username so I am forced to use the old username and it asks me to do the whole process again with verifying email.
WELL i figured out how to bypass it, just press on the red button, it'll take you to the login screen but at the bottom it should say "Not You, sign in to another account" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT I can't really recall and do the same process, just make sure its PBE and not NA or whatever region there is.

Sounds like your PBE account has no verified email, which you need in order to receive a code. Are you still able to add an email or are you forced into the username process?
