I was start searching for a match on ranked, (i was on promo with 1 win , 0 loses) and when i found the match, me did not load "champion selecting". after some time has elapsed i checked out an login again ant then i lose promo and i become silver 5 (but i was silver4)
Honestly directly telling "support" this would be more effective for your individual case. You'll find it by clicking the top right button beside logout.
Odd, 1 loss shouldn't cost you the whole series, and how did you drop rank when you were on your promos?
But either way, unless it's a huge bug on the client part they won't help you much with rank loss issues, many people try to get help with losses that aren't their fault for the clients and 99% of the time support gives a copy and paste reply stating that it's a problem with your firewall, anti-virus, etc.
