[CLIENT] Feb 16th, 2015. Client chat reads, "Logging onto chat service..."

Whenever I log on the out of game chat will always say "logging onto chat", without timing out and giving me a chance to reconnect. This means I can't be invited to games or invite fellow summoners to matches.

I've lurked the forum and found that changing the date ahead will remedy the issue but i've had no avail. I've run the repair function and the patcher found no files missing. I've reset the computer and my modem many times, as well as signing in multiple times.

I'm running the most recent patch on a mac (i know i know). Just trying to shed some light on an issue that may be affecting many. Draft pick is almost impossible with no communication during champ select. In-game chat works fine!

To reproduce: 1: log into client 2:home screen, bottom ticker reading "logging onto chat services"

I've had similar problems. Not only do I have the problem described above but also when I'm in game lobbies I'll suddenly receive notifications saying that I've been disconnected in chat. It immediately attempts to reconnect. It'll repeat the process 3 to 5 times before either getting me back in to the lobby chat or crashing my client.

You can still be invited and invite friends, you just have to enter their names manually. It's not just you, though. Send in a support ticket. They will insist it's a network issue on your end, but if you keep on replying to them they will eventually admit that it's a known issue on their end. All it takes is a push of a button on their end to fix it for you.
