Clickable abilites on Mac client

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I occasionally have a problem with abilities that require you to click a friendly or enemy champion (WW Q, Vi R, Nasus Q etc) where no matter how many times you click the target, the ability simply doesn't activate. I play on a mac. Any suggestions?

Yes. Sometimes I need to get the center of the cursor perfectly on the target or it won't go off. (You can tell from the color, blue or green, if it's actually over the target.) I was away for a while and only recently noticed this behavior in the couple weeks I've been back.
