Clash Tier Bug

My friends and I started a clash team just for fun. We have a diamond, plat, low gold, high silver, and an iron player. Most tiers make sense, but for some reason our Iron 2 player is valued at tier 1, making our team tier 1. He most definitely isn't tier 1, and although he has been ranked higher in the past he's never been tier 1. We really don't wanna play against tier 1 teams, that would just be boring to lose everygame. If this isn't a bug I'd at least like an explanation, because this is busted

I am Plat 4 and I am tier 4. My plat friends have also ranged from Tier 4 to tier 2. I really don't understand how this works. Good luck with your matches!
