Scrren Freeze on Mac when mouse NOT moving

Hey guys, weird thing for me after new patch... whenever I'm NOT moving my mouse in game the screen completely freezes until i continue to move the mouse again. The game works fine, FPS and MS absolutely no issue. Just a complete screen freeze with continued audio when I'm not moving the mouse. Now, that being said I'm ALWAYS moving the mouse cause obviously you have to to play the game properly, its more of like an inconvenience for me. Only affected me once at the start when I was in the jungle and waiting for the camp to spawn with my team so i wasn't moving the mouse but i didn't notice the screen was frozen, so when I moved it next I was already pulled by a blitz and crushed!

Anyone else experiencing this????

Also: Just found out its happening when i spectate games too... something's up

I have the exact same issue, has been going on for a bit more than a week - playing on a 13" MacBook Pro Retina as well. And before that, the client just had a huge delay, couldn't change and save masteries in champ select. Overall a touch start on s7

Same! Riot even removed the status thing, they don't give a damn now apparently.

Guys! I found a fix!!!! I have a macbook pro 15 inch sierra os. The problem started when I updated to 10.12.4

What I did is tried a combination of different resolutions with the fullscreen / borderless.

When I use 1440x900 with borderless it works without the side effect.

After having tried that I went back to 1440x900 full screen and works great too.

To find which resolution is best 4 you. Pick borderless and switch through the resolutions until the game "looks" like its full screen in borderless mode.

That works for me... but I would love to go back to my usual better resolution.

Riot please look at this!!! its pretty bad!

EDIT - if you have a retina screen you can change the setting to scaled and then look for that same resolution in the game. It works with fullscreen.

Guys I figured it out I asked riot and he told me this and it worked

This is M0useRat from Riot Games Technical Support, thank you for being patient. Lets see if we can solve your freezing issues. Could I have you apply the following settings to your Accessibility Menu.

-> Open up your System Preferences, head into Accessibility (little blue icon with 2 people on it). -> From the Vision Menu, click on "Display" and disable "Shake Mouse Pointer to Locate" -> From the Interacting Menu, click on "Mouse & Trackpad" and toggle "Ignore built-in trackpad when..."

Hey Guys,

I found a temporary solution!

I have the exact same problem, I have the 15'' MacBook pro Mid 2015 with Sierra.

After doing some tests I found that if I don't cmd+Tab at all during the summoning and during the game I don't get that mouse bug. But when i do cmd+Tab and get that bug it goes away if i change the resolution to a random one and then back to the one i normally use.

It is still a hustle to have to change the resolution twice ever time you want to cmd+Tab but it is a temporary solution.

FYI i have the tried the instructions below and the don't work for me:

-> Open up your System Preferences, head into Accessibility (little blue icon with 2 people on it). -> From the Vision Menu, click on "Display" and disable "Shake Mouse Pointer to Locate" -> From the Interacting Menu, click on "Mouse & Trackpad" and toggle "Ignore built-in trackpad when..."

Hope riot fixes that soon.

This just started happening to me yesterday. What is going on, it was working fine before the OSX Xcode update.. I have reported the bug several times but no response from Riot.

Same problem here... literally unplayable

Same here, problem solved after setting the in-game resolution to the same as the "looks like" resolution on retina display (standard on 13 inch display is 1280x800, in my case 1440x900)
