Client - Tooltips not showing for champion abilities.

I am using the 32 bit client 5.8.15_04_30_12_11 for Windows 8.1x64. Often when I am viewing a champion's abilities on the 'Overview' tab, it will not show the tooltip when hovering over the ability. Also at times during champion selection, I cannot view the tooltips on the masteries page either.

Sometimes restarting the client fixes the issue but usually not.

I wish I had a way to reproduce this for others, but this is common for my client and I don't have to do anything special for it to happen.

I'm having the same issue, I can't redo masteries, I can't look up other champ abilities in client. Any updates for this issue?

same problem for me. i can no longer view abilities tooltips when i go to store or profile champ page. used to be able to until 5.8 update, then it broke. hasnt worked since.

Same problem. However I have not had an instance where I can view the tooltips at all. This is a surprisingly annoying issue, I hope it can be resolved. I tried re-installing and no luck.
