[Gameplay] Lux ult not matching range shown

Was in a ranked game just a few minutes ago when a team fight happened. I clicked the ult (Level 2) and scrolled the map down to where the fight was happening and clicked over the enemies when they were in range. When it charged and fired, it was about 1 or 2 inches shorter than what the ability shown for its range, causing me to fire and completely miss the enemy team and losing the fights. Has happened before but thought it was just because I was using smart casting and i was clicking within the range; turns out it wasn't that.
