People leave during a Surrender vote and It goes through

A game I was playing a game and a surrender vote was open and as I was about t vote it. There was 3 votes for yes and 1 vote for no. I was the last person to hit yes or no and when i hit no, so it was 3 to 2 and then someone left and it went through as 3 votes yes and 1 vote for no. I don't like this and I was having fun in this game and I wanted to keep playing.
