[GAMEPLAY] nidalee/morg interaction bug?

2 or 3 times in a game today I hit a nidalee with a Morgana Q (2.75 second snare at the time) and saw no effect. My spell was newly on CD, but she neither stopped moving for any increment of time nor was surrounded by the signature purple cage. I think it connected right as she switched forms to pounce, and that the timing causes it not to register. I can't imagine this is meant to happen, she should end up snared even if she changes forms right? and I doubt I just didn't notice it, since 2.75 seconds is a long time.
