Runes Resetting

Hey, So for about a week and a half now, I've been dealing with an issue where my runes keep resetting upon logging in. Not really sure if this started before or after the last patch (before if I would take a guess) but its becoming a real pain in the butt.

To give a little more detail. When I sign in, I see one of those blinking indication icons beside my profile, I click it and then there's an indication beside my stats. I click that and it shows the start of the season screen, the one where it explains how the season works and stuff with a start season button at the bottom. Now in addition to my runes getting reset, when i join champ select, my summoner spells are set to ghost and heal. Also all my skins are on default.

I've had alot of issues over the years playing this game, mostly cause I play on a crap laptop, but never had this issue before. If someone can help me out, would be very grateful.

Been having the same problem ever since the start of the MSI events basically, everyday when I log in for the first time I get the stats and season explanation, runes are all reset, summoner spells are reset to ghost and heal, and the skins are all default. Really annoying especially with the client lag which makes changing runes a pain already.

Logged in to game after week and now every rune page reset, summoners spells as well, skins probably too - gonna check. I am not gonna recreate all of my rune pages, can here be a fix soon please? Thank you.

Same issue - 2nd time within the last 2 weeks.

I've also had 20 custom rune pages if that info is of any help.

I have same problem I think it happen after I shutdown my PC without closing lol (because i was in a rush) after that next time I opened lol that problem happened I uninstall and reinstall the game and try Initiate Full Repair and Hextech Repair Tool none of them worked made me wonder maybe some thing is wrong with my account data in Riot data bases so I made a test I had other account try to re-log on them and they didn't get reset so that mean there is nothing wrong with my files or windows or any thing related to me

heres what i know

  1. this happens to my roommate on their pc
  2. i log in on their pc- no rune pages
  3. i log in on my pc- all pages back
  4. they have run full repair- still happening 5 they have uninstalled and reinstalled - still happening
  5. no solution still
  6. i have yet to have them log in on my pc as they ar ein game rn after ive built them pages

  1. Still happening to me as well.... How come riot is not reading these threads? Like cmon man... A lot of people are having the same exact problem here, it should not be too hard to fix it I imagine.

  2. But I guess that's how riot works... If it's not on the front page of Reddit nothing will actually happen. [sg-lux-2] If anyone finds a solution to this I would love to know what I can do.

It appears that this issue tends to happen to multiple people, although Riot hasn't took any action towards this specific issue. This is quite concerning but at the same time until we get more info what i do know is that this typically tends to happen only on my "low end PC". So those of you who are playing below 60 frames per second per say or even a little bit above that seem to be getting that issue the most. However, when i play on my "high end PC" my rune pages go back to normal as if this wasn't an issue. So my best logical guess on this topic is that it has something to do with people using low profiled PC's specifically laptops aka crap-tops. Good news is that it doesn't reset our settings and key bindings or it would seriously be an issue. Although this issue didn't occur till a month ago which means it could have also been a bug in the patch for people using low end PC's. If anyone finds any info on this topic add me on league "Zehso"

Same Problem here for me and my friend .. almost everything is reset , some client settings , runes are all gone .. summoner spells = ghost and heal every game .. i stopped playing the game cz i got bored of adjusting my runes every time .. Rito .. oh Rito ..

I’ve been having the same issue and it started happening after patch 9.9. Same things and in game after 35 minutes my game freezes and take a while to get back in.

I too am having this issue. it happened back at the last patch and then today just now even though i already updated and played on the current patch without any issues.

I literally just sent a bug about this. It's so frustrating. I've had to reset mine at least three times already. I never even notice until I get into champ select. Client will lag when trying to set up a quick rune page as well, so trying to set one up in champ select is difficult.

**So guys heres the deal.. i got help from the support like 2 days ago, they mentioned the alternative installer to try and it worked perfectly fine to me, at least it's working for me yet, we will see, try it at least!!!!!

I have the same problem, but I noticed that if I close the client and re-open it, my runes pages reappear.

Same problem here.... sigh Its been going on for few months now, i reinstalled the game and the problem was gone for a moment UNTIL the next update came out!!? And then it all happened again: Lost all custom made runepages. All skins default are back on standard in stead of on last picked. Have to start season 2019 again everytime etc etc. The thing is i can fix it but every update breaks it again!

RIOT its time to fix this problem!

I have been having this issue since MSI and it still freaking happens most days when i login tried all the suggestions apart from clean install doing that now but i have slowish internet, tried reinstalling it still broken

I have found a solution, kinda...

When you see the blinking dot on your profile and see that your runes are gone just restart the client. Don't add a new rune page and don't start a game, just restart. Once you do your runes will be back, although everything else (summoner spells, skins, settings...) will still be reset.

This issue happens to me a lot lately and this gets the job done... hopefully it'll be helpful to you as well. :/

Still having this same problem august 17th. Full repair did nothing. You'd really think a company as big as Riot would be able to make a client that wasn't constantly having bug problems but I guess not.
