Resolution problem

When I got in of league of legends my account automatically changed to 3200x1300 or whatever it is. But at this resolution my league goes really slow and I can't even play. When I tried to put down the resolution most of the screen became black except the center making it just smaller and the rest stay black. I just can't play with all that lag. How can I get down my resolution without having most of my screen in black.
